Zug fare network adjusts prices moderately
As part of national fare measures, prices in the Zug fare network (TVZG) will be adjusted moderately, thereby partially offsetting inflation. Single ticket fares will increase by between 0 and 40 centimes, and monthly passes by CHF 2. An annual pass will continue to be worthwhile for anyone using public transport two or more days a week.
Ticket prices in the Zug fare network have remained unchanged since December 2016. At the same time, the service has been continuously expanded and quality maintained at a high level. Inflation between 2016 and the end of 2022 was 4.5 percent. The Zug fare network will increase prices moderately by an average of 3.97 percent when the new timetable comes into effect on December 10, 2023. Some examples: the price of a single ticket for one zone will remain the same, while the price of a ticket for two zones will increase by CHF 0.10 and the price of all monthly passes will increase by CHF 2. Annual passes will continue to correspond to nine monthly passes and are already worthwhile if you use public transport two days a week or more.
